Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (140 Kms / 5-6 Hrs)
After breakfast, we will drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (the highest motorable road in the world) at 5,602 mtrs / 18,390 ft, around 39 km from Leh.
On the way to Nubra Valley, we will stop at Diskit to visit Diskit Monastery, also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa, which is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Diskit, the headquarters town of Nubra Valley.
Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or “the Valley of Flowers” and is a high-altitude Himalayan desert at around 10,000 feet above sea level.
Upon arrival in Nubra Valley / Hunder, we check in at our camp for an overnight stay."
If time permits, we drive towards Hunder in the evening, where you have an opportunity to ride on a Bactrian camels (double-humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high-altitude desert with snow - Capped mountains on the horizon.
Overnight stay at the camp or hotel.
Meals - Breakfast & Dinner (Veg dinner at camp)
