Day 10: Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), Peak into North Korea & Seoul City tour
After enjoying Early breakfast at the hotel, today, you will embark on a journey to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a historically significant area that symbolizes the division between North and South Korea. Your tour will take you to Imjingak Park, where you can learn about the Korean War and see various monuments dedicated to the pursuit of peace. Walk across the Freedom Bridge, a symbolic bridge that served as a pathway for prisoners of war returning to freedom. Continue your exploration by entering the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, a secret tunnel dug by North Korea with the intention of invading South Korea. Explore the DMZ Exhibition Hall, which provides in-depth information about the Korean War, the division of the country, and the ongoing conflict.
Next, visit the Dora Observatory, where you can gaze into North Korea from a safe distance and gain a unique perspective on the divided peninsula. Finally, head to Dorasan Station, a railway station that symbolizes the hope for reunification.
Later, visit to Gyeongbok Palace the biggest Royal Palace built since Joseon dynasty, get wearing Hanbok (traditional Korean costume) to walk inside the palace (direct payment basis), visit National Folk Museum right next the palace. From Gyeongbokgung, walk to the Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional Korean village with Korean houses dating back to the Joseon Dynasty. Enjoy shopping at Insa-dong an art alleys with traditional tea houses and antique shops. Stroll through Cheonggyecheon- an urban renewal project, after an insightful and thought-provoking day, return to hotel.
